Notes: A little over a week ago, complications arose that will necessitative my son to be born prematurely. Last Monday, I wrote of the strange waiting period in which we find ourselves. That circumstance has not changed, but my mindset has. This song is about my outlook evolving. It has traveled from intense worry for his safety amidst the sudden shift in circumstances, through a sense of peace and acceptance of what must happen to ensure the best outcomes for all involved, to arrive at a feeling of joy in anticipation of his upcoming arrival. Of course I still worry, but I have learned so much in the last week, and I understand what is happening. The reality is that by the next time I post a song, our boy will very likely have arrived. That is a marvelous notion to behold! Please wish us all luck, and see you on the other side!
