Notes: Forest was born on Saturday at 7am. What a magical arrival! The following two days have been a beautiful blur. He is perfect and captivating. He is our son, and he is both brand new and somehow familiar all at the same time. What a gift he is.

I wrote this song at some point in the last couple of weeks, amidst preparations for his arrival. As such, it is not a proper reflection on the experience of meeting Forest, but rather a song of anticipation. The next couple of songs to follow will be the same. I want to keep these notes concise so I can return my attention to him, so I'll finish by saying that I was right when I wrote this. It's true that everything changes. Nothing is the same anymore. It's so much better now.
