Notes: A striking feature of my experience as a new parent has been getting to know my wife in a new context as co-parents, and seeing her grow into her role as a mom. I'm not surprised that one of her defining characteristics as a parent so far seems to be the same personal fortitude and capacity to endure that have defined other pursuits that she has cared deeply about. She gives her entire self to worthy challenges. Whether navigating law school or her first trial, or completing the New York City Marathon, I have seen her confront all varieties of obstacles and push through them with all of her might. Having a baby is an endurance sport, and I'm so grateful to have this champion of fortitude at my side. I wrote this song because I think she's amazing!
