We are waiting for spring to arrive, but it's so much more than that, isn't it? We're waiting for the springtime to deliver us from something far deeper than winter. We aren't sure whether or not it can, but some folks dare to hope. Others dare not.

Whatever it ultimately brings, the spring is teasing us—at least it is at my latitude—and with each passing day, my impatience deepens. So this is a song about impatience.
