I feel like I wrote this song in a fugue state. I'm relating to the lyrics from the outside, as if I didn't write them at all. The words are a bit impressionistic, and I'm having trouble holding onto themes or meaning. There's nothing wrong with that. I really like what I've written. I'm just not certain how to reflect upon it.

The song certainly has its hooks in the current moment, in the uncertainty and strangeness of our times. It also has a chorus section that sounds suspiciously like another song I wrote, although I'm not certain which one (forgive me -- when I think back to the previous 549 of these, specifics can become fuzzy). I think this would be a good song for driving at night through the country with the windows down. That's usually what I'm shooting for.
